National Freedom Front Leader MP Weerawansha's Wife Arrived At Bribery Commission To Give A Statement
Shashi Weerasinghe the wife of the National Freedom Front leader MP Wimal Weerawansha has arrived at the Commission to Investigate Allegations Of Bribery And Corruption this morning to give a statement to the commission regarding an allegation leveled against her husband.
The Bribery Commission is currently recording a statement from Shashi Weerasinghe regarding the allegation it has been reported.

Police Have Detained A Person With Two Hand Bombs In His Possession
The Police have today(27) detained a person with two hand bombs in his possession near Borella(In Colombo) Cemetery .
The hand bombs in possession of the suspect have been identified as made in a foreign country.
The suspect was detained according to an information received on him by the Colombo South Law Enforcement Unit and he is due to be produced before Hulftsdorf Magistarte Court today(27).

Police Have Detained Three Suspects While Transporting 220 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin At Nawagaththegama
The Police have today detained three persons including the main suspect of a Kerala Cannabis Racket at Maha Andarawewa in Navagatthegama when two of them were transporting 220 Kilo Grammes of Kerala Cannabis stored in 110 parcels from a brand new motor car.
Out of the three suspects detained two were identified as a residents in Mannar and the third and main suspect of the Kerala Cannabis Racket who is a resident in Colombo was arrested at Puttalam Area according to Police.
The stock of Kerala Cannabis found in possession of two suspects were transporting from Guru Nagar in Jaffna to Modara in Colombo when the arrests were made.
