Colombo Additional Magistrate Has Ordered The Police To Transfer Seven Indian Nationals Detained At Mirihana Detention Center To Colombo Remand Prison
The Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris has today(19) ordered the Police to transfer the imprisoned seven Indian Nationals detained over their involvement in illegal kidney transplant racket operated between Sri Lanka and India to Colombo Remand Prison from Special Detention Center in Mirihana(In Colombo).
The Additional Magistrate has made this order according to the request made by Colombo Crimes Division.Colombo Crimes Division has made this request due to the security at the center proved as sufficient it has been reported.
Eight Indian Nationals who were arrested at Wellawatta few weeks ago regarding the illegal kidney racket were detained at Special Detention Center in Mirihana and one of them was escaped from the center yesterday(18).

Wild Elephant Had Trampled To Death A Resident In Polonnaruwa
A Wild Elephant had trampled to death a Man at Konduruwewa area in Rathupalama, Polonnaruwa (In North Central Province)in the wee hours of this morning according to the Police.
The deceased had faced this incident while he was on the way to a relatives house by a Motor Bicycle the Police have stated.he was succumbed to his injuries after getting admitted to Aththanakadawala Hospital in critical condition.

Media Coordinating Officer Of The Ministry Of Fisheries Issued A False Media Statement By Stating European Union Is To Lift Fish Export Ban On Sri Lanka With Effect From 21st Of April
The former Media Officer attached to the Ministry Of Health who was fired by the then Secretary to the Ministry Dr.Nihal Jayathilake had earlier today (19)issued a press release to the Media as the Media Coordinating Secretary of Ministry Of Fisheries by stating that The European Union is due to lift the fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka with effect from 21st of April and later this evening he himself issued another media statement by saying European Union has not taken such a decision .
This Media Coordinating Officer who was having a background of providing false information to the media on news related to the Health sector including controversial tender issues when he was the Media Officer at the Health Ministry few years ago today again shown he is still capable of doing such things by issuing a false media statement on lifting the fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka.
The Media Coordinating Officer has issued three statements to the Media today regarding the lifting of Sri Lanka's fish exporting ban and in the third statement he has accused that some media had published false news regarding the issue although those media had published the statement issued by him.
