Wild Elephant Had Trampled To Death A Resident In Polonnaruwa

A Wild Elephant had trampled to death a Man at Konduruwewa area in  Rathupalama, Polonnaruwa (In North Central Province)in the wee hours of this morning according to the Police.

The deceased had faced this incident while he was on the way to a relatives house by a Motor Bicycle the Police have stated.he was succumbed to his injuries after getting admitted to Aththanakadawala Hospital in critical condition.

The deceased has  been identified as a resident of Bakamuna ,Polonnaruwa and his body had been sent to the Polonnaruwa  Hospital the Police have 

Media Coordinating Officer Of The Ministry Of Fisheries Issued A False Media Statement By Stating European Union Is To Lift Fish Export Ban On Sri Lanka With Effect From 21st Of April

The former Media  Officer attached to  the Ministry Of Health who was fired by the then Secretary to the Ministry Dr.Nihal Jayathilake had earlier today (19)issued a press release to the Media as the Media Coordinating Secretary of Ministry Of Fisheries by stating that The European Union is due to lift the fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka with effect from 21st of April and later this evening he himself issued another media statement by saying European Union has not taken such a decision .

This Media Coordinating Officer who was having a background of providing false information to the media on news related to the Health sector including controversial tender issues when he was  the Media Officer at the Health Ministry few years ago today again shown he is still capable of doing such things by issuing a false media statement on lifting the fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka.

The Media Coordinating Officer has issued three statements to the Media today regarding the lifting of Sri Lanka's fish exporting ban and in the third statement he has accused  that some media had published false news regarding the issue although those media had published the statement issued by him.

European Union To Lift Fish Export Ban Imposed On Sri Lanka With Effect From 21st Of April-Ministry Of Fisheries

Image result for fish exportThe European Union has informed the Sri Lanka's Ministry Of Fisheries And Aquatic Resources that the Fish export ban imposed on sri lanka by the Union will be removed with effect from this Thursday(21) according to the Ministry Sources.

The European Union had already given preliminary approval to lift the fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka since October 2014 to European Countries.However to lift the fish export ban European Parliament should approve it the Ministry has stated.

In this regard an order is due to be submitted to European Parliament it has been reported.

Representatives from the Ministry Of Fisheries have participated the discussions held regarding the lifting of fish export ban imposed on Sri Lanka held with European Union Officials at Brussels in Belgium last month.

Several Areas In Colombo City Are Without Electricity Since This Afternoon

Police Found Three Grenades Stored Inside Of An Ice Cream Container At A Drain In Kuliyapitiya

Three Grenades stored inside of an Ice Cream Conatiner and hidden at a drain in Hettipola,Kuliyapitiya (North Western Province)Area had been recovered by Kuliyapitiya Police this morning.

According to the Police Media Spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekare the Three Grenade contained Ice Cream Container was found per an information recieved to Police Emergancy Call Center.

Kuliyapitiya Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.
