Former Minister Basil Rajapakshe Has Given A Statement To The Presidential Commission Of Inquiry Regarding Misusing Of Air Crafts

The former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapakshe has today(08) given a statement to the Presidential Commission Of Inquiry To Investigate and Inquire Into Serious Acts Of Fraud ,Corruption,Abuse Of Power ,State Resources And Privileges over an allegation leveled against him.

The former minister Rajapakshe has given the statement regarding the allegation leveled against him on allegedly misusing Air Crafts belonging to Sri Lanka Air Force according to sources.

Train Services On The Mail Railway Line Have Been Delayed Due To An Accident

Train Services on the main line have been again delayed this morning due to the Container Truck damaged to the overhead of the Rail Bridge in Paliyagoda(In Western Province) the Department Of Railways have announced.

Due to the delay of Train Services passengers  including office workers and school children have faced enormous difficulties when reaching their destinations.

Due to the accident the Rail Track has also damaged it has been reported.The incident occurred at last night and Railways Authorities have taken steps to repair the damage done to the Rail Bridge and Rail Track according to sources.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Has Remanded The 13 Foreign And Local Suspects In Connection With Smuggling Heroin To Sri Lanka

The Colombo Fort Magistrate has yesterday(07) remanded the 13 Foreign and Local Nationals who were arrested over smuggling 110 Kilo Grammes of Heroin to Sri Lanka through
 a Foreign Ship until 19th of April.

The suspects including 10 Iranians,a Pakistani and Two Sri Lankans were detained during the raids carried out by Sri Lanka Navy and Police Narcotic Bureau on 01st of April  at southern coast.

IGP Ilangakoon To Retire From His Post With Effect From 11th Of April

Sri Lanka's 33rd Inspector General Of Police(IGP) N.K Ilangakoon has informed the President Maithripala Sirissena today (07)that he will be retiring from IGP Post with effect from 11th of April.

IGP Ilanakoon who has served in the post for five years has officially informed the President Sirisena on  his retirement from the post at President's House this morning.
