Sri Lanka To Seek Foreign Assistance To Restructure Loss Making Sri Lankan Air Lines -Minister Of International Trade
The country cannot bear the Rs.128 billion (US Dollars 872 million)debt being experienced by Sri Lankan Air Lines at present the Minister has stated.
Sri Lankan Government is expecting to restructure Sri Lankan Air Lines with either through a management agreement with a Foreign Air Line or through direct foreign capital he has stressed.
Meanwhile according to official reports Sri Lankan Government was held talks with a Middle Eastern Carrier to form an agreement in view of handing over the management of Sri Lankan Air Lines to a Foreign Carrier.
Sri Lankan Prime Minister To Visit China Next Week

During his visit Prime Minister Wikramasinghe is due to hold talks with Chinese Leaders on bi lateral relations and issues according to reports.

Gate And Building Belonging To Passport Office Had Damaged Due To A Clash Occurred Between Front Line Socialist Party Supporters And Police
The Gate and the Building belonging to Department Of Immigration and Emigration(Passport Office ) in Colombo had suffered damages today(01) due to a clash occurred at the Building between supporters of Front line Socialist Party and the Police .
The supporters of the Front Line Socialist Party mainly University Students who had conducted a protest campaign in front of the building of Department Of Immigration and Emigration by demanding the release of Party's Political Bureau member Kumar Gunaratnam who was sentenced to one year imprisonment by the court for violating visa regulations ,have suddenly stormed in to the building and damaged it's properties according to reports.
The Gate and the Building suffered damages due to the clash occurred between Protesters and Police when the Police Officers tried to disperse the protesters out of the building.
