Water Board Has Announced A Seven Hour Water Cut In Colombo Suburb Areas From Tomorrow Night
The National Water Supply And Drainage Board has announced today (01) a Seven Hour water cut will be implemented from 10 p.m tomorrow(02) to 5 a.m on Sunday(03) in several areas of Colombo Suburbs.
Accordingly the seven hour water cut will be effective in Kotahena,Grandpass,Modara,Mattakuliya,
Baseline Road from Kelaniya Bridge to Dematagoda Junction and Sea Street with all connected by roads due to an urgent repairs the Water Board has stated.

Gate And Building Belonging To Passport Office Had Damaged Due To A Clash Occurred Between Front Line Socialist Party Supporters And Police
The Gate and the Building belonging to Department Of Immigration and Emigration(Passport Office ) in Colombo had suffered damages today(01) due to a clash occurred at the Building between supporters of Front line Socialist Party and the Police .
The supporters of the Front Line Socialist Party mainly University Students who had conducted a protest campaign in front of the building of Department Of Immigration and Emigration by demanding the release of Party's Political Bureau member Kumar Gunaratnam who was sentenced to one year imprisonment by the court for violating visa regulations ,have suddenly stormed in to the building and damaged it's properties according to reports.
The Gate and the Building suffered damages due to the clash occurred between Protesters and Police when the Police Officers tried to disperse the protesters out of the building.

Implementation Of Proposed Value Added Tax Revisions Postponed
The Inland Revenue Department has decided not to implement the proposed Value Added Tax(VAT) Revisions which scheduled to be implemented with effect from today(01) until further notice.Accordingly the applicable VAT rate will remain as 1% the commissioner general of Inland Revenue Department Kalyani Dissanayake has stated.
Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has announced at Parliament in last March that the VAT Rate will be increased to 15% from the current rate of 11% with effect from 01st of April.The Prime Minister has also stated the government will impose capital gain tax.

Sri Lanka Navy And Police Narcotic Bureau Had Been Arrested 11 Foreign Nationals Along With 101 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin At Southern Coast
Sri Lanka Navy Personal along with Police Narcotic Bureau Officials had been today(01) arrested 11 Foreign Nationals including 10 Iranians and 1 Pakistani who were transporting 101 Kilo Grammes Of Heroin through a foreign ship at Southern Coast of Sri Lanka .
The haul of Heroin was smuggled from Pakistan via the Southern Sea and then transported to Sri Lanka through a fishing trawler according to Sri Lankan Navy. The detained Foreign Ship which transported the haul of Heroin was owned by the 11 Foreign Nationals who were arrested during the raid it has been reported.
The arrested Foreign Nationals were identified as involved in the smuggling of heroin to Sri Lanka which had being operated jointly by Sri Lankan,Pakistani and Afghanistani agents .
The haul of Heroin was smuggled from Pakistan via the Southern Sea and then transported to Sri Lanka through a fishing trawler according to Sri Lankan Navy. The detained Foreign Ship which transported the haul of Heroin was owned by the 11 Foreign Nationals who were arrested during the raid it has been reported.
The arrested Foreign Nationals were identified as involved in the smuggling of heroin to Sri Lanka which had being operated jointly by Sri Lankan,Pakistani and Afghanistani agents .
