Government Is Considering To Devolving Powers To Provincial Councils Through The New Constitution -President Sirisena
President Maithripala Sirisena has stated that through the new constitution which is currently under discussion government is considering devolving powers to provinces withing united Sri Lanka.
The Government is keen to give more powers to Provincial Councils in view of strengthening them President has stated.Several issues faced by the people can be solved through strengthening provincial councils he has further said.

A Youth Who Was Engaging In Fishing At Iranamadu Stream Has Died After Drowning In
A Youth was killed after drowning in Iranamadu Stream in Kilinochchi Area(In Northern Province) according to the sources.
The youth was drowned in the stream of Iranamadu while engaging in fishing there and died on admission to the Kilinochchi Hospital in critical condition the sources have stressed.The deceased has been identified as a 20 year old resident of Malyalapuram Area in Killinochchi.
The Kilinochchi Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.

Current Dry Weather Condition To Be Lasted Until Mid April
The current dry weather condition prevailing in the country will be lasted until Mid April according to the Director General Of Department Of Meteorology Lalith Chandrapala.
Due to the current dry weather condition those who are engaged in out door exercises and children should be careful on dehydration the Director General has stated.

Homagama Magistrate Has Released Seven Suspects Who Behaved Violently Out Side The Homagama Magistrate Court
The Homagama Magistrate Court has today(21) released seven persons including five Buddhist Monks who were arrested and remanded on 26th of January over behaved violently out side the Magistrate Court after court has ordered to remand Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero .
The Seven Suspects ,Five Buddhist Monks and two females were released on personal bails of Rs.100,000 each according to sources.
The Homagama Magistrate has ordered the five suspect monks to appear at the Homagama Police on every Sunday until the case is resolved.
