Kaththankudy Police Have Arrested 12 Indian Nationals Whilst Engaging In Trade Activities On Tourist Visas
The Kaththankudy Police have today(19) arrested 12 Indian Nationals at Kaththankudy(In Eastern Province) for involving in trade activities after entering the country through tourist visas.
Seven Females were among arrested Indian Nationals the Police have said.
The arrested Indian Nationals were involved in trading medicine whilst staying in the country by violating Immigration and Emigration laws Police have revealed.The suspects are due to produce before the Batticloe Magistrate Court.
Kaththankudy Police are conducting further investigations on the incident.

Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman Dhammika Ranathunge Accepted The Court Notice To Appear Before Court On 24th
The Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman Dhammika Ranathunga has reported to Keselwatta Police Station yesterday(18) along with his lawyer and agreed to appear before court on 24th of March as ordered by Colombo Magistrate Court regarding threatening the Electronic Media Journalists.
The Colombo Magistrate Court has last Thursday(17) issued a notice to Dhammika Ranathunge to appear before court on 24th of March for threatening a group electronic media journalists at the Colombo High Court Premises.
The relevant Journalists have complained regarding the incident to Keselwatta Police.

Police Have Arrested Two Persons Transporting 1400 Kilo Grammes Of Beef Illegally
The Kokmaduwa Police (Southern Province) have arrested two persons who were transporting around 1400 Kilo Grammes of Beef without a permit through a lorry at the Godagama Entry of Southern Expressway yesterday(18).
The suspects are residents of Wattala and Hunupitiya (In Western Province) areas according to Police.
The two suspects are due to be produced before Matara Magistrate Court.
