MP Namal Rajapakshe Given A Statement To Financial Crimes Investigations Division On An Allegation

MP Namal Rajapakshe the eldest son of former president Mahinda Rajapakshe has yesterday(17)given a statement to Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division regarding an allegation leveled against him on a financial transaction with a real indian estate company "Krish"Group for a proposed Shopping and Housing Complex in Colombo.

MP Rajapakshe has been informed to  appear before the Crimes Investigations Division yesterday(17).

Heavy Traffic Reported From Town Hall Due To A Joint Opposition Rally

Heavy Traffic has been reported from Town Hall and surrounding areas in Colombo this evening due to the protest march and Public Rally in Hyde Park organized by the Joint Opposition Group  in Parliament which supporting the former president Mahinda Rajapakshe.

The traffic lasted few hours according to Police.

The former president Mahinda Rajapakshe has arrived at the Joint Opposition Rally  which is currently underway  at  Hyde Park in Colombo one hour ago it has been reported.

Foreign Employment Bureau Has Arrested Two Persons Who Fraudulently Taking Money From Persons To Get Them Employment In Malaysia

The Special Investigations Unit Of the Foreign Employment Bureau has arrested two persons who fraudulently taking money from foreign job seekers by promising them providing an  employment in Malaysia according to the Employment Bureau.

It has been reported that the two suspects had taken Rs.180,000 from a  person by promising them employment opportunities in Malaysia.

The Special Investigations Unit Of The Foreign Employment Bureau has also taken into custody 10 passports in possession of the two detained suspects.The suspects have a  a foreign Employment Agency in Habarana the investigations have revealed.

The two suspects are due to be produced before Kakirawa Magistrate Court.
