Sri Lanka Navy Have Arrested 17 Sri Lankans Who Attempted To Sail Australia Ilegally From A Boat
Sri Lanka Navy have arrested Seventeen Sri Lankans who have attempted to sail to Australia Illegally from a Boat at Southern Sea Coast of Galle (In Southern Province)today(05) with the Boat they were travelling in.
The arrested persons have attempted to sail to Australia through a Boat from Negambo Sea and it detected by Navy Officers attached to Galle Navy Camp who seized the Boat with the persons .
A Female,Two young girls and two boys are amongst those arrested according to Navy.
The Navy Officers have escorted the Boat along with it's 17 passengers to Galle Harbor and handed over them to Galle Police Station for further investigations.

Joint Opposition Urged The Government To Control Criminal Activities Of Underworld Gangs
Hours after the Department Of Police has begun massive search operations in the country to eradicate Underworld Gangs the Joint Opposition Group in the Parliament which support the former president Mahinda Rajapakshe has urged the Government to control Underworld and Criminal Gangs which carried out gun shooting incidents during past few weeks which claims some lives.
The Chief Organizer of the Joint Opposition Matara District MP Dallas Alahapperuma has said in a statement issued today that around 21 Persons had killed due to the gun shooting incidents carried out by local underworld and criminal gangs during past two months in similar fashion of that Chicago Underworld Groups.
A Motorbicycle Rider Was Critically Injured And Hospitalized Last Night Due To A Shooting Incident In Baddegama
Two unidentified Gunmen who came from a Motor Bicycle opened fire at the Victim who was a Resident of Hikkaduwa Area and fled away from the scene the Police have said.
The injured victim has been admitted to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment.
