Bribery Commission Officials Have Arrested The Principal Of Sanghabodhi Collage While Accepting A Bribe Of Rs.50,000

The Bribery Commission Officials have today(24) arrested the Principal of Sri Sanghabodhi Collage in Nittambuwa(In Colombo District) at Principal's Office while accepting  a bribe of Rs.50,000 from a parent to enroll a Grade Six Student to the School.

The suspect has been produced before the Attanagalle Magistrate Court later today.The Commission To Investigate  Allegations Of  Bribery Or Corruption is investigating further on the incident.

Administration Of Jayawardenapura Teaching Hospital Has Fallen Down Due To A Part Time Chairman

The Administration of  Sri Lanka's only semi government Hospital ,Sri Jayawardenapura Teaching Hospital in  Kotte(In Colombo) has fallen down due to not having a full time Chairman in the Hospital Administration according to Hospital Sources.

Due to appointing a part time Chairman for the Jayawardanapura Hospital who is also functioning as  a top official of a multinational local Milk Powder Company the unsettled internal conflicts of the Jayawardenapura Hospital are on the increase the sources said.

The Current Chairman who is attending Hospital Administration Work for only half day per week has been however  enjoying perks and privileges entitled for a  full time Chairman of the Hospital except the salary it has been revealed.

The Joint Trade Unions of Jayawardenapura Hospital has urged the Ministry Of Health to appoint a full time Chairman in view of developing the Hospital.

Galle Magistrate Has Issued A Court Order Preventing Galle Allied Health Students From Holding Protests Near Karapitiya Medical Faculty

The Galle Magistrate has yesterday(23) issued a a court order preventing the Galle Allied Health Students from  conducting   protest campaigns near Karapitiya(In Southern Province) Medical Faculty for 14 day period.

The Court Order has been issued by Galle Magistrate Nilupuli Lankathilake in view of preventing the demonstration organized by a group of Allied Health Students today(24) near the  Karapitiya Medical Faculty.

The Poddala(In Southern Province)Police has made a   request from Magistrate to issue the court order to maintain law and order near the Karapitiya Medical Faculty.
