Sri Lankan Popular Baila Singer Anton Jones Has Passed Away

The Popular Sri Lankan Baila Singer Anton Jones has passed away at the age of 79 this evening.He  died while receiving treatment for an ailment at Colombo South(Kalubowila) Teaching Hospital according to the sources. 

The Veteran Singer Anton Jones has sung popular Baila songs based on true incidents since 1950's .The Body of the singer has now lying  at his residence at  Kawudana Road ,Dehiwala(In Colombo).

A Sudden Fire Broke Out At A Former Minister's House In Colombo

A Sudden fire that  broke out at the house of former Minister Of Coconut Development Jagath Pushpakumara situated at Wijerama Road in Colombo-07  this morning has been doused by the Fire Brigade before spreading it further  according to the Police. 

The Fire broke out at  Drivers Room of the House the Police have said.

The cause for the fire has  not yet revealed and the Police are conducting an investigations on the incident.

Human Rights Commission Of Sri Lanka Has Suspended The Investigations On Embilipitiya Youth's Death

Image result for human rights commission of sri lankaThe  Human Rights Commission Of Sri Lanka has decided to suspend the investigations that are being  carrying out regarding the death of a youth in Embilipitiya which occurred as a result of a clash between the Police and residents of a Party House with immediate effect.

The  few fundamental rights petitions  filed at Supreme Court regarding the death of Embilipitiya Youth is the main cause behind this decision the Chairman of  Human Rights Commission Dr.Deepika Udugama has said.
