Homagama Magistrate Has Ordered The Police To Arrest And Produce The Protesters Who Have Acted Violently At Court Premises Yesterday(26)

court order සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලThe Homagama Magistrate has today(27) ordered the Homagama Police to arrest and produce the protesters mainly Buddhist Monks  who have protested near the Court Premises and created a tense situation out there yesterday(26) over the imprisonment of Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero.

Around 200 protesters mainly Buddhist Monks had gathered outside the Homagama Magistrate Court yesterday evening to protest over the arrest and imprisonment of Gnanasara Thero who was arrested for  contempt of  court.

The Buddhist Monks representing Bodu Bala Sena,Sinhala Ravaya and Ravana Balaya Organizations had blocked the road near court premises to prevent the prison bus carrying Gnanasara Thero leaving the court premises.

After imprisonment  Gnanasara Thero has been transferred to Prison Hospital in Welikada from the Prison.

Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has this evening ordered the Police to submit a comprehensive report to  the Buddhist Thero's of Malwatta and Kotte Chapters  regarding the tense situation which occurred near Homagama Magistrate Court after the imprisonment of  Galagoda ththe Gnanasara Thero .

Around 200 Buddhist Bhikku's have been gathered in front of Homagama Magistrate Court to protest against the court's decision to imprison Gnanasara Thero.

Ministry Of Education To Make Compulsory For School Children To Participate In Sports Activities

sports activities සඳහා පින්තුර ප්‍රතිඵලThe Ministry Of Education has decided to make compulsory for School Children to participate in Sports Activities in view of uplifting their physical and mental health according to Minister Of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam.

Involving in any Sport Activity will help to prevent spreading of  non communicable diseases among School Children the Minister has said.

The Education Minister  has revealed these facts while participating in a programme held in Colombo  today (26)under the National Week declared for Sports And Physical Health Promotion which is currently underway.

The Surveys have been revealed that non communicable diseases among school children are on the increase.
