GMOA Officials Are Saying The Alleged Kidney Racket Is A Story Created By Indian Police
The Officials of the Government Medical Officers Association(GMOA) has today(24) said the large scale Kidney Transplant Racket alleged to be operated between Sri Lanka and India is a story created by Indian Police to destroy the development gained by Sri Lankan Health Sector.
The Kidney Transplant Surgeries have been performed successfully in both Government and Private Hospitals in Sri Lanka according to a high quality standards and due to this situation Sri Lanka is attracted by those who are due to undergo Kidney Transplant Surgeries GMOA has stated.
Therefore It is wrong to describe Kidney Transplant Surgeries Performed in Sri Lankan Private Hospitals as a Illegal Kidney Racket GMOA officials have further said.
However soon after the media here has exposed the information on large scale Kidney Racket, GMOA Officials have said the union will support the investigations carrying out regarding the alleged Kidney Racket.

Students Collective Of The Open University Wants To Reopen The University Which Closed Down Last Friday
The Students Collective of the Open University In Sri Lanka has today (24) requested from the Authorities to reopen the university which closed down last Friday due to a Students Unrest for Academic Activities with immediate effect.
The Convener of the Students Collective in Open University Amila Sandaruwan has said University Students have conducted a protest campaign in front of the University to oppose the new laws introduced by Authorities.
Authorities should try to solve the problems of students without disrupting their academic activities he has further said.
