The Prices Of The Imported Motor Vehicles Are To Be Increased Between Rs.500,000-Rs.600,000-Motor Vehicles Importers Association


Due to the Foreign Exchange Value Of The rupee against some of the major foreign currencies are on the increase the prices of Imported Motor Vehicles in the local market may goes up between Rs.500,000 to Rs.600,000 each according to Sri Lanka Motor Vehicles Importers Association.


Vehicle Prices are affected mainly due to the foreign exchange value of the Rupee against US Dollars,British Sterling Pounds and Japanese Yen are rising speedily the Association has said.

A 68 Year Old Person Has Been Killed After He Was Hit By A Car At Kosgoda

Image result for accident graphicA 68 year old person has been killed yesterday(15) at Kosgoda on Galle-Colombo Road after he was hit by a Car according to the Police.

The victim was succumbed to his injuries upon admission to the Balapitiya (In Southern Province) Hospital under critical condition.

The car which hit the victim had fled away after the accident and Kosgoda Police are conducting investigations to arrest the driver of the Car.

Sri Lanka To Release 104 Detained Indian Fishermen Tomorrow(16) To Mark Thaipongal Hindu Festival

Sri Lankan Government has today(15) decided to release 104 Indian Fishermen arrested by the Navy while illegally fishing in Sri Lankan Waters as a goodwill gesture to mark Hindu Festival Thaipongal .

These fishermen are due to be released by tomorrow(16) according to the Ministry Of Fisheries And Aquatic Resources.The letter of recommendation regarding the release of these Indian Fishermen has been sent to  President Maithripala Sirisene by the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs ,the Fisheries Ministry has stated.
