Road Leads To Anuradhapura Holy City Has Been Submerged By Flood Waters
Due to the overflowing of Malwathu Tank, the Road which leads to Anuradhapura Holy City has been submerged by flood waters according to the authorities. The Transport of the Road too disrupted due to this situation authorities have said.
Heavy Showers which prevails in North Central Province including Anuradhapura City these days cause the rising of water levels in almost all large tanks in the Province.

Government To Bring Two Acts To The Parliament Regarding Private Sector Employees Soon
The Government is planning to bring two Acts to the Parliament within this Month regarding Rs.2500 Salary Increase to Private Sector Employees and making the minimum Salary of a Private Sector Employee as Rs.10,000 according to Minister Of Labor John Seneviratne.
The steps will be taken to Pass these Two Acts within this month the Minister has said.
A School Student Has Died After Falling Down A Precipice In Norton Bridge
A School Student reside in Vidulipura in Nortonbridge Area has died yesterday(31) night after falling down a precipice in the Area.

Use Of Polythene With Less Than 20 Microns Banned With Effect From Today(01)
The use of Polythene with less than 2o microns including Polythene Lunch Sheets use for wrap up food items and Polythene Bags will be banned with effect from today(01) according to Central Environment Authority.
Those who are using these Polythene with less than 20 microns will be either fined not less than Rs.10,000 or can be imprisoned under the law the authority has said.
Central Environment Authority is due to carry out raids throughout the island by searching those who are still producing and using polythene products by violating it's ban.
According to the National Project On Waste Management in Sri Lanka around 15 million Polythene Sheets using for wrap up food items and 20 million Polythene Bags are being disposed to the environment daily.
