Government ,Semi Government And Private Sector Employees To Launch A General Island Wide Strike On Tuesday(15)

Image result for strike signThe General Island Wide Strike due  to launch by Employees attach to Government,Semi Government And Private Sectors on This Tuesday (15)will go ahead as planned due to the failure of talks held between Trade Unions and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe on  yesterday(12) regarding the Budget Proposals affected to Government Employees according to Government,Semi Government and Private Sector Employees Trade Unions Collective.

The Employees attach to Government ,Semi Government And Private Sectors will launch the strike on 7 a.m this Tuesday the Trade Unions Collective has said.

Twenty Four Health Trade Unions including Trade Unions representing Government Nurses,Professions Supplementary To Medicine and Para Medical Officers will participating this strike according to Joint Convener of the Trade Unions Collective Saman Ratnapriya.

Charge Sheet Has Been Sent To The Inspector Who Brutally Assaulted The Female HNDA Student

A Charge Sheet has been sent to the Inspector Of Police who has been suspended from work as a result of brutally assaulting a female HNDA Student during a protest campaign held in front of University Grants Commission(UGC) on  last October .

According to the National Police Commission the suspended Inspector of Kirualpana Police need to show the cause regarding  the Charge Sheet within one month period.

The Inspector has been suspended from work on 10th of December per the recommendation of National Police Commission .The Disciplinary Action against the inspector will be taken after he shows the cause   regarding  the Charge Sheet the commission has said.

Northern Part Of Sri Lanka To Be Totally Cleared From Land Mines By 2020

Image result for NORTHERN SRI LANKA LAND MINESThe once war hit Zone Northern Province in Sri Lanka will be totally cleared from Land Mines by the year 2020 according to World's largest demining agency "Halo Trust".

Up to now the Agency had cleared around 200,000 mines from the Northern Sri Lanka and accordingly  around 90% of the land required for  resettlement has been cleared from mines .

Only the Paddy Fields and Forest Areas in North are remained to be cleared from mines "Halo Trust " has said.Although Sri Lanka getting the support of the demining agency to clear land mines from North ,The country has still not signed the International Convention on Land Mines according to sources.

Car-Train Collision At Kandana Killed Two Persons

Image result for accident graphicA Car has collided with Train at Kapuwattta Railway Crossing  in Kandana(In Western Province)today (12) by  killing Two persons travelling in the Car including the Driver according to Police.

This fatal accident has occurred as driver of the car ignored the signals of incoming Expressway Train and attempted to pass through  the Railway Crossing.The train was travelling from Bangadeniya to Colombo Fort.

After the accident the Driver of the Car and front seat passenger have been admitted to Ragama Hospital in critical condition but later they have  succumbed to  injuries.

Kandana Police are conducting an investigation on the accident.
