Sri LanKan Navy To Take Over All The Weapons Stored At Avant Garde Floating Armory From Tomorrow(13)

Sri Lankan Navy is due to be taken over all the weapons stored at Avant Garde Floating Armory which is currently anchored at Galle Harbor according to the Navy.

Navy is due to be taken over the weapons at floating armory per the decision taken by President Maithripala Sirisena yesterday (11) to cancel all the agreements signed between Avant Garde Maritime  Services Private Limited and Government to handover all operations of Avant Garde Floating Armory to Navy according to the Navy Sources.

The sources also said the weapons stored at Floating Armory in Galle Harbor are due to be taken to Southern Naval Base per the instructions of Defense Secretary.

The Final Rites Of Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero Due To Be Performed This Evening

Image result for maduluwawe sobitha himiThe Final Rites of the Most Venerable Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero who passed away in Singapore on Last Sunday are due to be performed this evening at Parliamentary Grounds in Kotte(In Colombo) this evening.

 The casket which carried the Body of Late Thero has now left from Kotte Naga Viharaya(Temple) and it's on the way to Parliamentary Grounds where the funeral is scheduled to be held with full state honours.

The Government has declared today(12) as a day of National Mourning and Cinema Halls and Meat Stalls in the country too ordered to be closed today as a respect for Late Sobitha Thero.The Government Schools in Kotte Urban Council Area and all Piriven Schools in the Country too closed down today as a mark of respect for the Sobitha Thero.

Venerable Sobitha Thero has passed away while receiving treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hopsital in Singapore on last sunday at the age of 73.

Two European Commission Representatives Are To Be Here To Inspect The Ways Of Lifting Sri Lankan Fish Export Ban

Two Representatives belonging to European Commission (EC) are due to arrive Sri Lanka to inspect the ways  of lifting the ban imposed on Sri Lankan Fish Exports to the European Market.

Accordingly One European Union Representative is due to arrive Sri Lanka today(12) and another representative is due to be here on 16th of November.

European Commission has banned Sri Lankan Fishing Exports to  Europe since  last January.and the Commission has given some recommendations for Sri Lanka to adapt them if the Country wants to re commence fish exports to European Market.

Ministry Of Health To Launch A Three Day Island Wide Dengue Mosquito Control Programme from Today(12)

The Ministry Of Health is due to launch a three day Island Wide Dengue Mosquito Control Programme from today(12) up to This Saturday(14) according to the Ministry.Under this Programme Health Officials with the assistance of Police and Tri Force Personal will carry out inspections within household and other premises island wide to check Whether there are Dengue Mosquito Breeding Places Health Ministry has said.

 There's a threat of  spreading  Dengue throughout the  Island these days Mostly in City Of Colombo     due to the rainy weather prevails in most parts of the country  Ministry Of Health has stressed.

Dengue in several places throughout the Island especially in City Of Colombo is on the increase according to the Epidemiologists.
