President Sirisena Is Due To Tour Thailand On 01st Of November

President Maithripala Sirsena is due to Tour Thailand on 01st of November  according to Government Information Department.

President's Tour to  Thailand is at the invitation of Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan -O- Cha and he is due to hold bilateral talks with Thai Government according to reports.

Lional Fernando Had Resigned From Human Rights Commission Of Sri Lanka

Lional Fernando One of the Four Commissioners appointed to Human Rights Commission Of Sri Lanka recently had resigned from his post today(26) citing personal reasons.

He along with four others  have been appointed to the Human Rights Commission on 21st of October.Dr.Deepika Udugama has been appointed as  head of the Commission.

Former LTTE Leader And Vice President Of Sri Lanka Freedom Party Has Announced His Resignation From The Party

Image result for karuna ammanThe Former Eastern Command Leader Of LTTE and former Vice President Of Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) Vinayagamurthy Muralidaren alias Karuna Amman today(26) has announced his resignation from SLFP.

Karuna Amman has said he will join the Tamil United Liberation Front(TULF) lead by V.Anandasangari for the sake of his political future,He has also stressed he had no issues with SLFP and due to personal reasons he had resigned from the party.

The Former  Parliamentarian has not received nominations from SLFP to contest the recently concluded Parliamentary Election.

Eighty Six Tamil Nadu Fishermen Detained By Sri Lankan Navy Are Due To Be Released On Wednesday-Indian Government

The Indian Government has said yesterday(25)  86 Tamil Nadu Fishermen arrested by Sri Lankan Navy while fishing in Sri Lankan Waters during last two months are due to be released on this Wednesday(28).

As a gesture of goodwill Indian Government too will release 2 Sri Lankan Fishermen in custody Government has said.

The group of Tamil Nadu Fishermen belonging to Nagapattinam,Tuticorin,Pudukottai, and Ramanathapuram was arrested and imprisoned during 22nd of September and 14th Of October this year according to reports.These Fishermen were arrested by Sri Lankan Navy while fishing in Palk Bay and Gulf Of Mannar .
