Police Have Taken An Evidence From Negambo JMO Regarding The Complaint Made By Two Suspects Of Seya Sadewmini's Murder
The Police have today (15)taken an evidence from Judicial Medical Officer attach to Negambo Base Hospital regarding the complaint made by first two suspects arrested over five year old Seya Sadewmini's rape and murder case .
The two complainants including a 17 year old school boy were arrested over the case and released later after their DNA Samples did not match the DNA Samples taken from Seya's Body.
The inquiry regarding the complaint made by first two suspects arrested over the Seya's Murder has been conducted by a Police Team lead by Assistant Superintendent Of Police in Gampaha Police Chandana Kodithuwakku.
After the conclusion of inquiry the inquiry report is scheduled to be handed over to Deputy Inspector General Of Police in Western Province Pujitha Jayasundera.

Bribery Commission Officers Had Arrested Three High Ranking Customs Officials While Accepting Rs.125 Million As A Bribe
Three High Ranking Customs Officials were arrested by officers of Bribery And Corruption Commission this evening while accepting a sum of Rs.125 Million as a bribe which is believe to be the largest ever bribe nabbed by Bribery Commission.
The three Customs Officers namely Customs Superintendent Sujeewa Prakrama Jinadasa,Assistant Customs Superintendent M.D.U.G Perera and Deputy Customs Superintendent Jagath Gunathilake have been arrested by the Bribery Commission Officers while accepting Rs.125 Million as a bribe from a representatives of a Foreign Company at a selected location in Colombo City this evening.
The arrested Customs Officials were reported as informed a foreign company which supplying spare parts for Sri Lanka Transport Board(SLTB) that Rs.1500 million should be required to release a stock of spare parts belonging to the company .The stock of spare parts are for the use of SLTB.
However as the Foreign Company had informed the said Customs Officials that company has legally not entitled to make such a payment, the customs officials had promised the company that scheduled payment will be cut off if the company agreed to pay them Rs.150 million as a bribe.
Afterwards the Company Representatives had informed on this to Bribery Commission and per the instructions of the Commission ,Foreign Company had manged to reduce the bribe to Rs.125 million after negotiations held with arrested customs officials.
