Kokmaduwa-Imaduwa Section Of Southern Expressway Reopened For Motorists


The Kokmaduwa-Imaduwa Section of the Southern Expressway which was closed down several times during this week due to the earth slip risk has been reopened today(10) for motorists according to Authorities.

The said section had closed down several times earlier due to the heavy showers prevailed in the area and earth slip risk .

Constitutional Council Has Forwarded A List Of Nominated Members To Four Commissions For The Approval Of President

Image result for constitutional council sri lankaThe Constitutional Council has forwarded A list of nominated members to four independent commissions for the approval of President Maithripala Sirisena.

Accordingly  list of members for Police,Bribery ,Human Rights and Public Service Commissions has been forwarded to President.

Ten members of the Constitutional Council have met at Parliamentary Complex Premises yesterday(09) and reached a final decision regarding the new members of Bribery Commission ,Human Rights Commission ,Public Service Commission and National Police Commission.

The Constitutional Council Members are due to meet on 04th of November to take a final decision on members of the remaining Independent Commissions.

IGP Ilangakoon Has Left For China Along With Five Other Officers For An Official Visit

Inspector General Of Police(IGP) N.K Ilangakoon along with five other High Rank Police Officers have yesterday (08) left for China for a seven day official tour.They are due to stay in China until 15th of this month.
