The Sri Lankan Embassy in Saudi Arabia has said this evening there are no reports on Sri Lankans among st the victims who were killed in a stampede occurred at Islamic Holy City Of Mecca today(24).

Due to the stampede which occurred during one of the last rituals of the Haj Season around 717 pilgrims were reported as killed and another 863 were injured  according to the latest foreign media reports.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Had Given 72 Hours For The CID To Detain And Questioning Main Suspect Of Kotadeniyawa Murder

The Colombo Chief Magistrate had given 72 hours for the Criminal Investigations Department (CID)to detain and questioning the main suspect of five year old seya sadewmini's murder who was arrested yesterday(23).

The police are  said to be questioning the main suspect who was arrested from a forest area in Gampaha District since this morning.The suspect has revealed today that he is responsible for the crime.

The Suspect Arrested In Forest Area Yesterday(23) Revealed He Is Responsible For Raping And Murdering Of Five Year Old Girl-Police

As the  suspect who have arrested yesterday (23) regarding  the rape and murdering  of five year old girl in Kotadeniyawa Area has revealed he has done the crime ,the Colombo Chief Magistrate has this evening granted permission for  Criminal Investigations Department(CID) to detain the said suspect.

The said suspect was arrested yesterday (23) while he was hiding in forset area in Baduwatugoda at Gampaha District (In Western Province).

The five year old Seya Sadewmini was found sexually molested and starngled to death near her house one and half weeks ago at Kotadeniyawa.

Another Suspect Was Arrested Over The Murder Of Five Year Old Girl

Another suspect of the rape and murder of five year old seya sadewmini of Kotadeniyawa Area has been arrested by the Police yesterday(23) at a forest area in Gampaha District(In Western Province).

The suspect was arrested through a joint operation carried out by Criminal Investigation Department(CID) and several police teams with the help of residents in the area according to Police.

Another two suspects  including a marijuana addicted 17 year old school boy have already been in remand  over the murder of the girl .
