A Partial Lunar Eclipse is due to be visible to Sri Lanka tomorrow(04) with the moon rising from the Eastern Horizon around 6.18 p.m and will be there till 7.15 p.m.The Eclipse will begin at 2.31 P.M in Sri Lankan Standard Time and due to be ended at 8.29 P.M.
As this Lunar Eclipse occurs during the day time only the later part of the eclipse is visible to Sri Lanka Local Scientists have said.After 7.15 p.m tomorrow as the Moon is entering to Penumbra
no eclipse will be visible except the little dimming of moon light they have stated.
According to the Professor Chandana Jayaratne of the Department Of Physics In University Of Colombo the lunar eclipse will be ended at 8.29 p.m local time with the moon leaving the penumbral part of the eclipse.As the total time of the eclipse is 5 minutes it will be the shortest lunar eclipse in the 21st Century Professor Jayaratne has stressed.
The entire lunar eclipse will be visible to the people in North America,New Zealand,Australia and Eastern Asia he has said.
