Supreme Court Refused To Release General Fonseka
Sri Lankan Supreme Court today refused to issue an order to release Former Army Commander Retired General Sarath Fonseka after considering the Fundamental Rights violation case filed by his wife Mrs.Anoma Fonseka.
However the Court allowed access to His Wife,Immediate Family Members and lawyers to see him.

Government To Introduced Electoral Reforms After Regaining Power
The Ruling United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Spokesman Sri Lankan Transport Minister Dallas Alahapperuma said today that the Government will introduced an Electoral Reforms with a New Constitution within Six Months after coming to Power from the forthcoming General Elections scheduled to be held in next April.
Addressing a Media Briefing Minister Alahapperuma said the aim of introducing these Electoral Reforms is to reduced the Political and Electoral problems emerged at present.

Tamil Journalist Tissanayagam Was Released On Bail
Tamil Journalist J S Tissanayagam who was imprisoned over allegation on collecting money and supporting for the LTTE Activities was granted Bail by the Appeals Court and due to get freed tomorrow.He was freed on Personal Bail according to Judicial Sources.
He was sentenced to 20years of vigorous Imprisonment under the Terrorism Prevention Act.

One Woman Supporter of the Common Presidential Candidate General Sarath Fonseka was killed and Four other supporters were injured when an unidentified Man Came from Motor Bike was fired a Group of Supporters who were traveling from a Bus at Tangalle to attend an Election Rally.These Supporters were on their way to a Rally organized by the Hambantota UNF MP Sajith Premadasa when the Gun men appeared and shot at them.
Police is conducting an Investigations in to the Incident and President Mahinda Rajapaksha too instructed Inspector General Of Police Mahinda Balasuriya to conduct an Impartial Inquiry in to the incident.

Batticloe Mayor Expressed Her Support To General Fonseka
Mayor of Batticaloe Ms.Sivageetha Prabhakaren of Sri Lanka Freedom Party(SLFP) today expressed her support to Common Presidential Candidate General Sarath Fonseka during a Press Briefing held in Colombo today.According to Ms.Prabhakaren her security personal were removed by the authorities immediately after her announcement of supporting General Fonseka has been made.
The Batticloe Mayor who was former member of TMVP Party led by former LTTE Commander of the Eastern Province Karuna Amman quit from the Party along with their leader and joined SLFP Last year.

Father Of The Former LTTE Leader Passed Away
Father of the slain ed LTTE Leader Velupillai Prabhakaren Thiruvengadam Velupillai was died last night on natural causes while in the Military Protection.The father of the LTTE Leader who is 86 was suffering from several disorders including paralysis and he was recently got admitted to the National Hospital Colombo for treatment.
