LTTE Supporters Attacked Chinese Embassy In London


As Sri Lankan Ground Forces are nearing to capture the entire LTTE held area in the Northern Sri Lanka Pro LTTE Supporters again make violent move as the LTTE Supporters in United Kingdom smashed the windows of the Chinese Embassy Building in East London today.

Around 150 protesters were marched towards the Embassy this morning and hurled Rocks and Debris to the Embassy.Police arrested three people regarding this incident it has been reported.However later they were released on a bail.
Pro LTTE Supporters attacked the Chinese Embassy due to the Chinese Government's support towards Sri Lankan Government to defeating LTTE militarily.

Forces Captured Last Earth Bund Of The LTTE


Sri Lankan Ground Forces who are moving towards liberating the entire LTTE Rebel held area in the Northern Sri Lanka today captured what they believe as the last Earth Bund built by the rebels to prevent trapped civilians by escaping into Government held area.

Troops captured this bund after a battle with the rebels in the Karayanmullivaikkal in the ‘Safe Zone" of Mullaitivu District.

LTTE Leader Banned The Using Of Contreceptive Methods In Rebel Held Area To Increase Their Cadres-Health Minister


LTTE Leader Valupiilai Prabhakaren was banned using of Contraceptive Methods by the People in the Northern Sri Lanka on last few years in the view of recruiting more Child Soldiers to His Rebel Forces Sri Lankan Minister Of Health Nimal Siripala De Silva said.

Due to this Family Planning Methods are not implemented in those areas Minister stressed.

Health Ministry To Adapt Cyprus Method To Control Thalassemia In Sri Lanka


Sri Lankan Health Ministry is considering the possibility of adapting the Cyprus method of preventing the spreading of Thalassemia Disease by asking the couples who are vulnerable of getting the Disease to face a Blood Test and produce a Health Certificate about their Thalasemia Status Health Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva said today at a Media Seminar On Thalassemia.


Cyprus is succes with controlling the spreading of Thalassemia Disease in this way Minister stressed.
Currently there are around 2000 Thalassemia Patients in Sri Lanka and 5 Percent of the Local Annual Health Budget is allocated for treating them he added.Around 80 Thalassemiac Infants are born every year in Sri Lanka and around 160 Marriages of Higher Risk for these Births which are among the Blood Relatives take place here annually Sri Lankan Doctors said.

MP Piyasiri Wijenayaka And Five Others Remanded For Murder Charges


Former Janatha Wimukthi Peramuna(JVP) MP Piyasiri Wijenayaka and five others were remanded by the Attangalla Magistrate today on suspicion of murdering JVP Supporter Nandana Balage.

Sri Lanka Received 4.5 Million Sri Lankan Rupees Worth Drugs To Treat Swine Flu Patients


The Sri Lankan Office Of the World Health Organization to day handover a stock of Medicines,Syrups and N-95 Special Surgical Masks worth 4.5 Million Sri Lankan Rupees for Sri Lankan Health Ministry to use if the Deadly Swine Influenza Flu hit the Island.


The Stock including 15,000 Tami Flu Capsules,270 Bottles of Syrups and 2000 Masks according to the Health Ministry Sources.The WHO Acting Representative to Sri Lanka Dr.Frigdosi Rastum Mehtha handover this Stock to the Health Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva this evening.
Meanwhile Sri Lanka already having Stock of Drugs which can treat 1000 Swine Influenza Patients according to the Ministry.Ministry already prepared 20 wards from 20 Major Hospitals in the Country as Isolated Wards for treating Swine Flu Patients.


The Thermal Scanners installed at the Bandaranayaka International Airport in Colombo to check the Suspected Flu Cases are out of order and they were already sent to Singapore for an Imediate Repair according to the Ministry Sources.

LTTE Rebels Restricted To 4.5 Square Kilo Meter Area


Sri Lankan Ground Troops who are on the mission to rescue remaining trapped civilians in the LTTE Rebel held area now restricted remaining LTTE Cadres including their Leaders to a 4.5 Square Kilo Meter Area in the No War Zone.

LTTE Leader Valupillai Prabhakaren and other Cadres are now removed their Tiger Outfit and wearing civilian cloths to pave away to mixed up with the Civilians and if possible returned to the Government Controlled Area according to the Military Sources.
