Sri Lankan And Mihin Air Lines To Arrange A Special Flight To Buddhagaya Tomorrow(06) To Bring Back Stranded Sri Lankan Pligrims

Image result for mihin air lanka flight to bddhagayaSri Lankan Air Lines and Mihin Lanka Air Lines have arranged a Special Flight to Buddhagaya in India tomorrow(06) to bring back a group of 120 Pilgrims to Sri Lanka who are stranded at the Buddhist Holy City ,Buddhagaya(Bodh Gaya) due to the closure of Chennai Air Port following the floods.

The Pilgrims are being scheduled to travel through road to Chennai and then flying to Colombo,But due to the floods in Chennai Air Port they are stranded in Buddhagaya  at present.

According to the authorities Air Bus-320 belonging to Budget Carrier Mihin Lanka Air Lines is schedule to fly  Buddhagaya tomorrow morning to bring back the stranded pilgrims .The Air Bus is expected to arrive Sri Lanka in the afternoon.

Health Minister has revealed this while addressing the Professor Senaka Bibile Commemorative  Programnme held at BMICH recently.

Police Naval Officers Have Arrested Nine Persons Who Have Disposed Garbage To Kelaniya River

The Police Naval Officers  in  Paliyagoda (Western Province) have yesterday (04)arrested Nine persons including Seven Women who have disposed garbage to Kelaniya River .

The Nine Persons detained were later released on bail and they are due to be produced before the court on 07th of December .

Police Commission To Take Disciplinary Action On 10th Of December Against Police Officers Those Responsible For Attacking HNDA Students

Image result for national police commissionThe Disciplinary Action against the Higher and Lower Rank Police Officers who were identified as responsible for attacking HNDA Students during a Protest Campaign held on 29th of October in Colombo will be taken after 10th of December according to National Police Commission.

There's a special meeting scheduled  to be held regarding police attacks on HNDA Students on 10th of December and after the meeting a Disciplinary Action will be taken against Police Officers from Chief Superintendent to Higher Rank Officers who were identified as responsible for attacking HNDA Students the Commission has announced.

Human Rights Commission Has Recommended Police To Pay Compensation For HNDA Students Who Were Injured Due To Police Attack

The Human Rights Commission has yesterday(04) announced the Police Officers are  responsible for the attacking Students of Higher National Diplomas In Accountancy(HNDA) during the protest staged by them near University Grants Commission at  Ward Place,Colombo on 29th of October  and by doing so Police have violated the human rights of HNDA Students.

Due to this situation Human Rights Commission has recommended the Police to pay Rs.25,000 compensation to the female HNDA Student who was brutally attacked by a police officer during the protest and currently receiving treatment at a Hospital and Rs.15,000 compensation each for 8 other HNDA Students who were wounded due to police attack.

The Commission has also recommended to take disciplinary action against the police officers who were responsible for attacking students.

The Police Commission has also launched an investigation on the Police Attack against HNDA Students and Prime Minister Ranil Wikramasinghe has also appointed a Committee headed by
Dr.B.M.S Batagoda to investigate on the attack.
