The state owned Lanka Sathosa Limited has earned Rs.2.3 billion as the profit by selling consumer commodities during the Sinhala And Tamil New Year Season from 01st of April to 13th of April 2015 according to the Sathosa Chairman Kiran Atapattu."The profit earnings of Sathosa during this new year season had increased by Rs.300 million when compared to the profit earnings of the same period last year Mr.Atapattu has said.

A latest survey reveals that 10 out of every 1000 sex workers in Sri Lanka are infected with HIV/AIDS Virus . According to the Director of National STD (Sexually Transmitted Diseases)/AIDS Campaign Dr.Sisira Liyanage Few years ago only .2 out of 1000 sex workers were infected with HIV Virus.
The Monthly Production of the Nutritional Supplement "Thriposha" at the Sri Lanka Thriposha Limited has been reported as dropped by 400,000 -500,000 Packets during last February and March when compared to the monthly production rate reported at the end of last year.During the Chairmanship of Mr.Kiran Atapattu who is now functioning as the Chairman of Lanka Sathosa Limited ,Thriposha Packs numbering 18 laks were produced monthly according to the health sources.
