Sri Lanka's Largest State Owned Dental Hospital To Be Inaugurated On 31st Of January

Displaying dent.jpgSri Lanka's largest  state owned Dental Institute,the newly built ten storied National Dental Teaching Hospital in Ward Place ,Colombo built with modern technology at a cost of Rs.800 million is due to be officially inaugurated by President Maithripala Sirisena on 31st of January.

The National Dental Teaching Hospital is equipped with latest treatment/surgery  facilities snd equipment has a 240 member staff including medical specialists and nurses and providing treatment and surgery facilities for the public free of charge.

It has the capacity of treating over 1000 patients dsily according to the Ministry Of Health.

The laying of foundation stone to build another ten stories for the Dental Hospital will be also taken place on 31st of January under the patronage of President during the innauguration ceremony

An Indian Youth Was Drowned In Southern Seas

An indian youth was drowned in the seas of
Hikkaduwa (Southern Province) yesterday (27) while bathing according to reports.

The deceased was pronounced as dead on admission to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital.

Hikkaduwa Police are investigating on the incident.

Police Have Arrested Two Persons With Illegal Teak Timber Logs

Police have arrested two persons who were
transporting 76 logs of  teak timber without a valid licence st Alawathugoda (Central Province)area.

Along with the suspects who are residents of  akurana and jambugaspitiya areas Police have also taken into custody  the lorry used to transport the timber logs .

The price of a Lottery Ticket which increased to Rs.30
from Rs.20  since 01st of January 2017 will be reduced to Rs.20 again with effect from tomorrow (28) according to the National Lotteries Board.

A new stock of Lottery Tickets priced Rs.20 had been issued to Lottery Agents todzy (27 the Board has stated.

President Maithripala Sirisena has instructed the authorities to reduce the price of a Lottery Ticket after the Lottery Agents had launched a strike action  demanding to reduce the increased price.
