An Indian Couple Was Arrested With A Haul Of Heroin
An Indian couple was arrested by the
Police Anti Narcotic Bureau officals at the Airport this morning (15)with 2,04 Kilo Grammes of Heroin in their possession at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport on their arrival.
The couple was in the age group of 29 and 35 years and the estimated value of the haul of Heroin taken in to custody in possession of the suspects is around Rs.24.5 million.

Landslide Warnings Issued To Several Areas In Galle And Kalutara Districts

Organization (NBRO)has yesterday (14 )issued Landslide warnings to several areas in Galle and Kalutara Districts as a result of the adverse weather prevailing in these Districts at present .
Accordingly Thawalama, Neluwa, Elpitiya Niyagama, Nagoda ,Baddegama and Yakkalamulla areas in Galle District and Walallawita ,Bulath singhala, Dodangoda, AgalaWatta, Mathugama and Palinda Nuwara in Kalutara District had been issued with Landslide warnings .
People in these areas should be vigilant over the Landslide signs according to the authorities.

Two Died Due To A Wasp Attack
A 2 year old child and 68 years old Grand Mother have died
due to a Wasp attack at their house in Hinguruhena area ,Deniyaya- Matara yesterday (14).
The parents of the child were not there at home during the incident.
As the wasps had begun to attack the child and Grandmother by surrounding them a youth at the neighbourhood had seen that and taken them to the Deniyaya Hospital from a Three Wheeler.
However the Three Wheeler had broken on the way and the injured were later transported to the Hospital by an Ambulance it has been revealed.On the way to hospital the child has died and the Grandmother died after admission to hospital.
Three Members Of A Same Family Had Been Killed And Two InJared Due To Motorcycle-Tipper Collision
A 35 year old father and two sons of the ages 10 and 14 years had been killed and the Mother and another son of the same family had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Motorcycle they were travelling in colliding with a Tipper Truck arriving from opposite side at Uttalapura ,On Sandunpura-Lihiniyagama road in Dehiattakandiya area this evening (14).
The critically injured five family members had been admitted to Dehiattakandiya Hospital where the Father and two sons had succumbed to their injuries .
The critically injured Mother and a son had been Transferred to Polonnaruwa General Hospital. For treatment.
Dehiattakandiya Police have arrested the Tipper driver and taken in to custody his vehicle over the incident.
