Nine Persons Including Three Foreigners Injured Due To A Road Accident

Nine persons including three foreigners have been

injured and hospitalized after the luxary bus they were travelling in toppled over the road after veering off the road in agbopura area on Trincomalee-Colombo main road and crashed into a lamp post there in wee hours of today (11).

The injured were admitted to the Kanthale Hospital for treatment and later one was transfered to Trincomalee hospital for furthet treatment.The accident occurred after the driver of the bus not been able to control the speed of the bus.


Two Persons Were Critically Injured Due To A Road Accident

Two persons  attached to a tourist hotel in hatton
area were critically injured and hospitalized after the van they were travelling in veering off the road at ambiliwatte area on hatton-Sanchimale main road and toppled over to the Dikoya canal through a 200 feet deep precipice.

The critically injured persons were admitted to the Dikoya Base Hospital for treatment and later they have transfered to Kandy teaching and Nawalapitiya Base Hospitals for further  treatment.

Due to the heavy showers prevailed in the area the van travelling from dikoya to hatton  slipped away from the road and fallen down into a 200 feet deep precipice it has been reported.

been  opened for a maintenance work since this morning (10)according to the maskeliya police.

Due to the opening of spill gates the water of the reservoir flowing to Kelani river through Maskeliya oya it has been reported.
