Minister of Fisheries Douglas Devanada had distributed 15,000 Liters of Kerosene oil received through the Indian credit line among the residents of islands in Jaffna district (Northern Province )it has been reported .
The Indian Government had sent this stock of Kerosene Oil to be distributed among low income groups to ease the economic crisis faced by Sri Lanka at present .

Colombo Chief Magistrate Buddhika shri Ragala had also imposed a fine of Rs.100,000 for the accused ,If Shashi Weerasinghe fails to pay that fine her prison sentence will be extended by another six months it has been reported ,

Litro Gas Company has announced that there will be no distribution of Gas today as well (27) and therefore requested consumers to avoid staying in queues to purchase Gas these days,
Today is the fourth consecutive day that the Litro Company had not distributed the Gas cylinders to consumers as a result of the US Dollar shortage issue in the country, Earlier the Company had stated that the distribution of Gas cylinders will commence tomorrow (28).

The draft bill is seeking to reintroduce the features contains in 19th amendment which gives more powers to the Prime Minister and the Parliament ,However the draft bill retains the powers vested to President on increasing the number of judges to the high courts and President's power to dissolve the parliament only after two and half years .

A Ship Carrying Indian Food And Medical Aid Arrived In Colombo Harbor
A Ship carrying Food and Medical aid worth more than 2 Billion Sri Lankan rupees provided by the Indian Government had arrived in Colombo Harbor today (22) .
The aid consists of 9000 Metric tones of Rice 50 Metric tones of Milk Powder and more than 25 Metric tones of Medical and drug supplies was officially handed over to the Foreign Minister Professor G,L Pieris by the Indian High Commissioner in Sri Lanka Gopal Baglay .
This aid is scheduled to be distributed among beneficiaries in North ,Eastern ,Central and Western provinces according to the government ,
This food and medical aid consignment was flagged off from Chennai Port by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K Stalin on 18th of May. The second consignment of \food and medical aid send by Tamil Nadu government is scheduled to be arrived next week .

Police fired tear gas and water cannons to disperse a massive protest march staged at Colombo fort today organized by HND (Higher National Diploma )Students in Colombo Fort today (21) when they have attempted to enter President's office .
Earlier today Colombo Fort Magistrate had issued a court order imposing certain restrictions on the protest march ,

A Ship carrying 40,000 Metric tones of Diesel under the Indian credit line arrived in Colombo harbor this evening (21) it has been reported .
With this consignment of Diesel India had provided US Dollars 1.5 billion worth fuel to Sri Lanka so far according to the Indian High Commission in Colombo .

IGP Had Given Five Hour Long Statement To CID
The Inspector General Of Police (IGP) C.D Wikramaratne had arrived at Criminal Investigations Department (CID) headquarters in Colombo Fort this evening (21) and given a statement more than five hours long regarding the assault of protesters at Galle face green and in front of Temple trees (Prime Minister's official residence ) it has been reported .

Heavy Traffic Occurred In Borella This Morning Due To A Protest
A heavy traffic had been occurred in and around Borella area (Colombo ) this morning as a group of persons had blocked the road from Borella roundabout demanding to issue Domestic LP Gas it has been reported .
The protest had been stopped after the authorities had promised the protesters that LP Gas cylinders will be distributed among them by 3 p.m today(21) it has been reported .
Litro Gas company had recently announced that they have received a sufficient stocks of Gas and around 80,000 gas cylinders will be issued daily from this weekend .
Nine Cabinet Ministers Had Been Appointed Yesterday (20)
Nine Cabinet Ministers including two from main Opposition Samagi Janbalawegaya (SJB) Party and three independent MP's from the breakaway faction of ruling Podu jana peramuna Party and one from Sri Lanka freedom Party (SLFP) Had been sworn in before President Gotabaya Rajapaskhe yesterday (20).
Accordingly Mp's Harin Fernando and Manush Nanayakkara from main opposition SJB had been appointed as Minister of Tourism and Land and Minister of Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment respectively ,Sri Lanka Freedom Party MP Nimal Siripala de silva had sworn in as Minister of Naval and Aviation and Independent MP's Susil Premajaynatha and Wijedasa RAjapakshe had been appointed as Minister of Education and Minister of Justice. Another Independent MP Tiran Ales had been appointed as Minister of Public Security .The other ministers appointed are , Ramesh Pathirana as minister of Plantation Industries, Nalin Fernando as the minister of Trade, Commerce, and Food Security and Keheliya Rambukwella as Minister of Health .

Diesel Ship Due To Be Arrived In The Country Today (21)-Ministry Of Power
A ship carrying 38,000 metric tones of Diesel under the Indian credit line is schedule to arrive in Sri Lanka today (21) according to the Ministry Of Power .
Another ship carrying 37,000 metric tones of Petrol had already arrived in Colombo harbor and unloading of the stocks of Petrol from that ship is currently underway the Ministry has stated ,Distribution of Octane 92 and Octane -95 petrol had begun since last morning the Ministry has further said ,However according to the sources Ceylon Petroleum Corporation had only distributed stocks of petrol to a limited number of Petrol stations in the island and still there's a long queues can be seen in front of Petrol stations .
