Four Police Officers Have Interdicted Over A Brawl Incident At A Restaurant Bar In Dambulla

Sri Lanka Police have yesterday(29) interdicted four Police Officers including a Sub Inspector attached to Dambulla Police Station regarding a brawl incident occurred at a Restaurant Bar in Dambulla (In Central Province)on Wednesday(27) .

Accordingly A Sub Inspector,Two Sergeants and a Constable were interdicted based on a complaint received on their alleged involvement to the Brawl the Police Spokesman's Department has stated.

The Brawl has occurred at a Restaurant Bar in Dambulla on Wednesday due to an argument erupted between  four police officers who went their dressed with civil attire and staff of the Bar when the officers requested liquor the department has revealed.

During the argument one police officer has pulled out a fire arm and threatened a staff member of the Bar it has been reported.



All Schools In North Central Province Except National Schools To Be Closed At 12 Noon Until Further Notice

Due to the hot weather condition prevailing in North Central Province these days there's a shortage of drinking water problem too  in the province according to the Chief Minister of North Central Province Pashala Jayaratne.

Colombo Additional Magistrate Has Issued An Interim Court Order By Preventing Joint Opposition Leaders From Entering Shalika Grounds-Narahenpita

Image result for court order logoThe Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris has today (29) issued an interim court order preventing the leaders of Joint Opposition Group( A Group of MP's supporting former president Mahinda Rajapakshe in the Parliament) and Sri Lanka Transport Board(SLTB) from entering Shalika Grounds in Narahenpita(Colombo) for 14 days with effect from today(29).

The May Day Rally of the Joint Opposition Group is scheduled to be commenced at Shalika Grounds and at Kirulapona Grounds on 01st Of May(Sunday).

The Colombo Additional Magistrate has issued the court order according to the request made by Narahenpita Police by stating that there's a threat of breaking peace due to the unauthorized May Day Rally due to be commenced by Joint Opposition Group at Shalika Grounds, Narahenpita. 

Police Commission Has Promoted Two DIG's To The Rank Of Senior DIG

The National Police Commission has promoted two Deputy Inspector Generals Of Police(DIG) to the rank of Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police according to the secretary of the Commission Ariyadasa Cooray .

Accordingly  Deputy Inspector General Of Police(DIG)- Galle Division S.A.D.S Gunawardena and DIG -Training M.R Latiff have been promoted to the rank of Senior Deputy Inspector General Of Police with effect from 16th of April and 20th of April respectively.

Police Narcotic Bureau Officials Have Arrested A Pakistani National With 07 Packets And 07 pellets of Heroin In His Posession

Image result for detainedThe Police Narcotic Bureau Officials have today (29) arrested a 21 year old Pakistani National with 07 Packets of Heroin and 07  pellets of Heroin in his possession while another 12 pellets of Heroin swallowed by him at a Hotel in Colpetty(In Colombo).

The suspected Pakistani National was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital after revealed that he had swallowed 12 pellets of Heroin and later Doctors have managed to taken out the 12 pellets of Heroin the suspect had swallowed.

The Police Narcotic Bureau is conducting an investigation on the incident.

A 72 Year Old Bus Passenger Died By Fallen To The Road From A Bus At Galle

A 72 year old Bus Passenger  has died by fallen to  road from the foot board of a  Bus yesterday (28)at Ginthota in Galle District.

This accident has occurred at a Bus travelling from Ambalangoda to Galle it  has been reported.

The Bus Passenger who had fallen to the road was admitted to the Karpitiya Teaching Hospital in critical condition and later he was succumbed to his injuries.
