A Female Was Killed Due To Lorry-Motorcycle Collision

A female was killed and another three persons were critically injured and hospitalized due to a Lorry- Mototcycle collision occurred at Galkulama area in Puttalam district today(2 accotding to the Police.


The Injured  were admitted to the Puttalam Base Hospital for treatment.The deceased was identified as a 43 year old resident of Anamaduwa area.

 

Tinea Skin Infection Is Spreading In The Country-Dermatologists

 The Tinea skin infection caused by a  fungus   is  spreading rapidly in the country at present according to Dermatologists.


This disease with the symptoms including itching and a scaly rash shaped like a ring is spreading among children and adults according to the Consultant Detmatologist attached to the Colombo Natkonal Hospital Dr.Janaka Akarawita.This skin infection is commonly seen in areas prone to sweating including armpits ,feet,groin  and the scalp he has stressed.

Shell Global To Distribute Fuel In Sri Lanka

Shell Global Company is due to Commence  distributing fuel in Sri Lanka with effect from today(22) according to sources.

The  first stock of fuel scheduled to


distributed by Shell Global has arrived in Colombo Harbor yesterday (21) and will be available in 150 filling stations  across the country the Company has stated.



Four Persons Arrested With 13,000 KG Of Waste Teqa

 The Special Police Task Force (STF)  Personal in Gampola area  had arrested  four persons in possesion of 13,217  Kilo Grammes of waste tea prepared to  be sold  at Limagaha area in Udunuwara today( 22).


The stock of waste tea taken into custody wasstored in four stores and  the STF personal.had handed over the stock of waste tea along with tha four suspects had been handed over to the Dawulagala Police for further action.

No Confidence Motion Against Speaker Was Defeated

 The no confidence motion submitted to the Parliament by the opposition against the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena  has been defeated by 42 votes yesterday(21).


At the  vote 117 MP's voted against the motion and 75 voted in favor of it .The motion was debated todays prior to the vote.
