A Fifteen Hour Long Water Cut To Be Implemented In Five Colombo Divisions

 The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) had issued landslide warnings, to many Divisional Secretariets in Three Districts as a result of the Extreme weather conditions eexperiencing  these days .

Accordingly the NBRO  had

red alert Landslide warnings to the many Divisional Secretariets in Galle,Kautara and Matara districts .Earlier early landslide warnings were issued to several divisional secretariets in Ratnapura,Kandy ,Colombo ,Gampaha and Hambanthota Districts.

Meanwhile schools in Matara District will remain shut down due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in the District it has been reported. All schools in Matara District were shut down during last two days due to the rainy weather.

A Fifteen Hour Long Water Cut To Be Implemented From This Afternoon

 A 15 hour long water cut is scheduled to be implemented in five Divisions in Colombo District from 5 p.m today (07) until 8 a.m tomorrow (08) due to an essential maintainance work according to the National Warer Supplies and Drainage Board .

Accordingly Water supply to the  Colombo 11 12 ,13,14 and 15 areas will be stopped from 5 p.m today until 8 am tomorrow due to an essential  maintainance work  under the Ambatale Water supply system improvements and energy saving project .

Fifteen School Children Were Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Bus Collision

 Around 15 School children were injured and hospitalized after the School Bus they were travelling colliding with a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB ) Bus at Karanthippala area in Kuliyapitiya(North Western province) this morning (06).

This incident was occurred when the SLTB Bus travelling from Hettipola to Colombo  had collided with the rear side of the School bus it has been reported.The injured were admitted to the Kuliyapitiya Teaching Hospital for treatment .
