Another 10 Hour Long Water Cut To Be Implemented In Colombo Tomorrow(08)

 National Water Supplies and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has decided to impose another 10 hour long unfair water cut in Some areas of Colombo District tomorrow (08) from 10 a.m to 8 p.m due to a power cut imposed by Lanka Electricity Company private limited  (LECO) in kolonnawa pumping station the Water Board has announced.


Accordingly this water cut will be imposed in Kolonnawa urban council area,Moragasmulla,Rajagiriya,Ethulkotte,Obesekarapura,Bandaranaikapura,Nawala and koswatte areas and open university area and connected by  roads .LECO,had imposed a power cut in kolonnawa pumping station over an essential maintenance work the Water biard has stated.

A Female Had Drowned In Wak Oya,

 A 42 year old female had died after drowning in Wak Oya (River) at  Hanwella (Colombo District ) last     Saturday (06 ) evening whilst bathing it has been reported.




The deceased had drowned along with another female whilst  bathing and both of them were rescued by the residents of the area and admitted to Awissawella Base Hospital where she had pronounced as dead.The deceased was a resident of Udawatte area in Hanwella.

NBRO Issued Landslide Warnings To Five Districts

 The National Building Research Organizaton (NBRO) had issued an early landslide warnings to 11 Divisional Secretariats in Five districts of the Island yesterday (05) due to the heavy showers prevailing in .


Acvordingly an early landslide warnings had been issued to the Divisional secretariats in Badulla,Matara,Matale ,Kegalle and  Galle districts .

A Driver And His Assistant Injured Due TO A Bowser Crash

 A driver and his Assistant were injured and hospitalized after the Oil bowser  they were travelling in veering off the road and toppled over to a house at Bathgoda in Haldummulla area of Badulla district in the wee hours of this morning(06).


Accordingly  the injured driver and his assistant were admitted to Haldummulla district hospital for treatment .

The Bowser which transported diesel from Colombo to Haputhale  had been damaged due to the accident  and people was being seen collecting the  Diesel leaked from the Bowser .Police believed the  incident occurred due to the loss of control of the vehicle by the driver.
