Fourteen Train Journeys Were Cancelled Yesterday(14)

Due to the insufficent number of staff personal reported to work ,14 scheduled train journeys were cancelled during yesterday (14) the Sri Lanla,Railways Department has announced.

Twelve Short distance train journeys were among those cancelled train journeys the department has stated.

A Motorcyclist Was Killed Due To A Gun Shooting Incident

A 29 year old person was killed and two children were injured and hospitalized due to a gun shooting incident in Midderamulla area at Ahungalla (Southern Province )yesterday (14).

The deceased was riding a Motorcycle with two kids when two gunmen arrived in a Motorcycle opened fire towards them it has been reported.He has died after admisson to Balapitiya Base hospital.The two children who had sustained with minor injuries due to the gun shooting incident were also admitted to the Balapitiya hospital for treatment.

Ahungalla Police are conducting an investigations to arrest the two gunmen involved in the gun shooting incident.

A Person Was Killed Due To A Wild Elephant Attack

A person was killed due to a Wild Elephant attack whilst in his paddy field at Gamunupura area in Thambuttegama area ,(North Central Province).

The 59 year old farmer had died on admssion to Thambuttegama Base Hospital it has been reported.This was the third death reported due to the wild elephant attacks from the area recently.
