A Seven Hour Water Cut In Kotte Municipal Council Area

A Seven hour long water cut is being imposed in several areas belongs to Kotte Municipal Council Area from 10 p.m tonight until 05 a.m tomorrow morning (05) due to a maintenance of a pipeline according to National Water supplies and drainage board .Accordingly this water cut is being imposed in 13

areas belonging to Kotte Municipal Council including Pitakotte, Ethulkotte, Baddagana, Mirihana ,Madiwela ,Thalapathpitiya ,Udahamulla ,Embuldeniya ,Nugegoda ,Wijerama Road ,Pagoda, and Nugegoda junction to Open university in Nawala area the Water Board has announced.

Power Cut Hours To Be Extended From Next Monday To Wednesday

Ceylon Electricity Board(CEB) had decided to extend the daily power cut hours from next Monday (06) to Wednesday (08) period due to the shortage of Diesel to generate power it has been announced .

Accordingly 20 zones in the Island will be faced a two hour and fifteen minute long power cut from 8.30 a.m to 10 .30 p.m daily from next Monday to Wednesday the Public Utilities Commission had stated ,Currently two hour power cut is being imposed in the Island daily .

Two Wild Elephants Had Been Killed After Colliding With A Train

Two Wild Elephants had been killed and another one was injured after colliding with a Train transporting Wheat Flour from Colombo to Trincomalee near Thalapathkanda Railway station yesterday(04).

Accordingly a 04 year old Wild Elephant and one year old Elephant calf had died due to the Collison with train it has been reported .A 15 year old female Elephant had been critically injured due to incident ..

The train was derailed after colliding with Three Wild Elephants and the Train services on that Railway line had been disrupted as a result ..
