Some Commercial Banks Increased The Credit Card Interest Rate

 Some Commercial Banks had taken steps to increase the interests rate of Credit Cards which has been decreased by the Government recently .


One of the leading Private Banks providing Credit Card facility had increased the interest rate by 30 percent it has informed the customers.

Meanwhile a study has revealed that the usage of Credit Cards in Sri Laka is on the increase .

Main Opposition To Submit No Confidence Motion In First Week Of May

 The Main opposition Samagi Janabalawegaya Party had decided to submit the no confidence motion   against the government in  Parliament within the first week of May   according to the Party sources.


So far around 125 MP's had signed the No confidence motion and the group of 41 former government MP's who are functioning as an independent group are due to sign the motion  the sources have stated .,

Millions Of Employees Lunched An Island Wide Strike Today (28)

 Millions of Government ,Semi Government and Private sector employees had today (28) launched an Island Wide token strike demanding the Government headed by President and Prime Minister to resign.


Due to this strike organized by around 1000 trade unions representing various fields including Transport ,health ,ports ,Postal ,Fisheries ,University ,Education and Agriculture sectors  many services have  paralyzed which caused inconvenience to the public  it has been reported .
