The Director General Of Health Services (DGHS) had reported A single Corona death yesterday (16),Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 16,416 .
The deceased was an infant it has been reported
DGHS had recently withdrawn the Anti Corona health guideline which made compulsory to perform a PCR on a deceased .It might be the readon behind the decreaded number of Corona deaths health circles had pointed out .
Another 320 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (16) ,Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 657,134 according to Epidemiology Unit .
At the moment 21,525 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care systems the Unit has stated .
Due to the lower number of PCR and Rapid antigen tests performed in the country daily ,The number of Corona positives reported daily is being decreased it has been revealed. .Only 4419 PCR Tests and 2411 Rapid Antigen tests were performed in the country yesterday (02) it has been revealed .
A massive Protest March and a Rally were organized by the main opposition Samagi Janabalawegaya Party opposing the rising inflation rates ,rising prices of essential commodities ,Fertilizer shortage ,Power cuts ,shortage of Gas,fuel and other commodities, held in Colombo this evening (15) with the participation of massive Crowds.
The protesters wer surrounded the Presidential secretariet in Colombo fort and burnt effigies and banners by demanding the current government to go home .
Many who gathered on the roadside to view the protest had cheered and encouraged the protesters .
