LIOC Had Increased Prices Of All Types Of Diesel And Petrol

 As the Value Of A US Dollar against Sri Lanka Rupee hits record high the Lanka Indian Oil Company (LIOC) had increased the prices of all types of Diesel and Petrol with effect from midnight today (10).

Accordingly all types of Diesel had been increased by Rs.75 per a Liter and Petrol by Rs.50 per a liter LIOC has announced ,

However Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (Ceypetco) has not yet decided on a price increase of Fuel .

580 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (10)

 A total number of 580 Corona Positives had been reported in the Country today (10) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 654,916 according to Epidemiology Unit .

At the moment 19,926 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated ,

Another 13 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (10)

 Another 13 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today(10) Increasing the total number of Corona deaths that had been reported so far to 16,374 according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).

Accordingly 08 males and 05 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 12 were over 60 years of age and one was belonged to 20-60 year age group it has been reported .

Government To Restrict The Use Of Electricity And Fuel In Government Offices

Government has decided to strictly restrict the use of Electricity and fuel in Government offices  with immediate eefect  in view of the Dollar shortage faced by the Government .

 Cabinet has approved a Cabinet proposal make recommendations in this regard submitted by the Minister of   Public Services ,Provincial Councils and local government bodies Janaka Bandara Tennakoon ,

The Cabinet Proposal had also recommended to suspend the issuing extra fuel for the official vehicles use by Ministers /MP's and Government officers and also restricted calling officers in outstation areas to Colombo ,Air conditioners in Government offices should be switched off from 2.30 -4.30 p.m daily and officials are advised to hold meetings and discussions by using Zoom technology ,Also Government officers are being advised to use stair case instead of Elevators .
