No More Power Cuts Until Next Monday

 There will be no More power cuts until next Monday (31) according to  the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission .


Islandwide power cuts will not be implemented until next Monday as the Ceylon petroleum Corporation has supplied a sufficient stock of fuel for the power plants to generate electricity the chairman of the Commission Janaka Ratnayake has stated .


942 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (27)

 Another 942 Corona Positives had been reported in the country ,Increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 607,104 according to Epidemiology Unit.


At the moment 14,705 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals,Quarantine centers and under home care system  the Unit has stated .

23 Ciroma Deaths Were Reported Today (27)

 A total of 23 Corona desths had been reported in the country today (27) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,369 according  to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).


Accordingly 12 males and 11 females had died due to Corona infection DGHS had stated .

Out of the deceased 20 were over 60 years of age and 02 were belonged to 30-60  year age group it has been revealed .One of the deceased was under 30 years old .

Former Media Spokesman Of LTTE Daya Master Had Been Sentenced A Suspended Imprisonment

 Vavuniya District Court Judge Manikkavasagar Ilanvelian has today (26) sentenced  the former media  spokesman of the LTTE Organization Velayudam dayanidhi allias Daya Master a two year imprisonment suspended  for a  five year period over the  charge levelled against him over using civilians as a human shield during the fighting erupted between Sri Lanka armed forces and LTTE rebels in 2009.


The case was filed against Daya master by the Attorney General in 2018 under the terrorism prevention act during  the good governance government .

Daya master who had worked for LTTE for a monthly salary had accepted that he was guilty for the charges levelled against him .
