18 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (06)

 A total of 18 Corona deaths had been reported in the country today (06) according to Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).With these deaths  the total number of Corona deaths reported in the country so far had risen to 15,083 the DGHS has stated ,

Accordingly 12 males and 06 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 13 were over 60 years of age and 05 were belonged to 30-60 year age group it has been revealed .

584 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (06)

 Another 584 Corona Positives had been reported in the country today (06) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 590,063 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 13,423  Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

Only 7852 PCR Tests and 3721 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the country yesterday (08) it has been revealed .

Former Health Ministe Dr Rajitha Senaratne And State Minister Tested Positive For Corona

 Former Health Minister and current MP representing Samgi Janabalawegaya (SJB) Party Dr Rajitha Senaratne and state Minister Roshan Ranasinha had been tested positive for Corona Virus according to the sources.

MP Dr.Senaratne is currently under home quarantine and state Minister Ranasinghe who is on a private visit to England got infected with the virus whilst touring there and he too currently under quarantine in that country  it has been reported .

 Another 550 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (05) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far from the country to 589,479 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 12,462 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

Only 6638 PCR Tests and 3670 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the Country yesterday (04)at a time  when other countries are increasing the number of tests performs amidst Omicron  threat ,
