Former Health Ministe Dr Rajitha Senaratne And State Minister Tested Positive For Corona

Former Health Minister and current MP representing Samgi Janabalawegaya (SJB) Party Dr Rajitha Senaratne and state Minister Roshan Ranasinha had been tested positive for Corona Virus according to the sources.

MP Dr.Senaratne is currently under home quarantine and state Minister Ranasinghe who is on a private visit to England got infected with the virus whilst touring there and he too currently under quarantine in that country it has been reported .

10 Corona Deaths Had Been Reported Today (05)

A total number of 10 Corona Deaths had been reported in the country today (05) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far to 15,065 the Director General Of Health Services (DGHS).

Accordingly 07 males and 03 females had died due to Corona infection the DGHS has stated .Out of the deceased 07 were over 60 years of age and 03 were belonged to 30-60 age group .

Another 550 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (05)

Another 550 Corona positives had been reported in the country today (05) Increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far from the country to 589,479 according to Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly 12,462 Corona Positives are being treated at Hospitals ,Quarantine Centers and under home care system the Unit has stated .

Only 6638 PCR Tests and 3670 Rapid Antigen Tests had been performed in the Country yesterday (04)at a time when other countries are increasing the number of tests performs amidst Omicron threat ,

State Minister Susil Premjayantha Has Been Removed From His Ministerial Portfolio

State Minister of Education Reforms ,Open Universities and Distance Learning Promotion Susil PremJayanth has been removed from his Ministerial Portfolio with immediate effect by the President Gotabaya Rajapakshe ,

The state minister had been removed from his post over criticizing the Government at a open market in Colombo .Soon after the announcement was made regarding the removal of Minister PremJanathais portfolio Minister himself was seen emptying his room at the ministry and leaving house from a trishaw .,
