2945 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Today (24)

 A total of 2945 Corona positives had been reported yesterday (23) in the country ,Increasing the total number of  Corona psotives reported so fat to  164,201 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .

At the moment 34,384 Corona positives are being treated at Government hospitals and quarantine centers the Center has stated .

 Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and his wife Jalani Premadasa had been tested positive for Corona virus it has been announced today(23).

The opposition leader"s wife who had shown Corona symptoms is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital and Opposition leader is  non symptomatic according to sources .

Many opposition MP"s are currently under self quarantine after the Opposition leader had tested positive for Corona virus .

Island Wide Travel Restrictions Extended Until 28 Th Of May

Amidst appeals from medical circles to impose  a 14 day national lockdown In the country to curb the spread of Corona virus in the country government has decided to extended the islandwide travel restrictions imposed. From.11 p m Friday night until 28 th morning it has been announced .. 

Earlier the travel.restrictions are being scheduled to lift on 4 a.m next Tuesday morning and reimpose it from.11 p.m that day until 28 th of May. However a person from a household will be able to go to a near by shop.or market to purchase goods on 25 the and 28 th of May according to authorities .

Essential service are being maintained I'm.tjr country during the restrictions according to government .
