The Ministry of Education has decided to close down All government schools .Pre schools and Piriven (Religious Classes ) at Western and North Western provinces until 30 th of April in view of the risk of spreading Corona virus in inhools .
Meanwhile Catholic and International schools too had been closed until 30 th by the authorities in view of the Corona spread in the country .
A total of 03 Corona deaths had been reported today (26) increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 647 according to the National Covid -19 Prevention Center .Accordingly two females and a Male resided at Galpatha ,Kandana and Awissawella areas had died due to Covid Pneumonia and complications occurred due to the non communicable diseases they have suffered from as a result of Corona infection the Center has stated .
The deceased were of the ages 70,92 and 70 years it has been revealed ,
Another 952 Corona Positives had been reported today (26)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far in the country to 102,376 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
At the moment 7152 Coroma positives are being treated at government hospitals and quarantine centers .
A total of 793 Corona Positives had been reported in the country yesterday (25) increasing the total number of Corona Positives reported so far to 101379 according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .
Accordingly 6426 Corona positives are being treated at Government. Hospitals and quarantine centers at the moment .
The Governor of the Eastern province Anuradha yahampath has ordered all schools in Trincimalee Education Zone to close down until further notice due to the Corona spread in Trincimalee District .
Many people in Trincimalee District had bern tested positive for Corona virus during last few days .
