Two Corona Deaths Reported Yesterday (10)

 Another 02 Corona Deaths had been reported in the country yesterday (10),Increasing the total number of Corona deaths reported so far in the country to 146 according to Epidemeology Unit .

Accordingly a 66 year old female resided in Colombo -02 has died due to heart ailment caused by Corona infection after being transferred to Homagama Base Hospital  from Colombo National Hospital .

 Another 54 year old female who was a resident of Weligama in Matara and returned from Dubai has died due to a pneumonia fever caused by Corona infection after being transferred to Homagama Base Hospital from.a quarantine center .

538 Corona Positives Had Been Reported Yesterday ((10) -304 Of Them Were Reported From Colombo

 A total of 538 Corona Positives had been reported in the country  yestterday (10))increasing the total number of Corona positives reported in the country  so far to 30,613 according to Epidemeology Unit.

accordingly out of the total number of Corona Positives reported in the country yesterday ,469 were locals and 304 were reported from Colombo district. Another 38 were reported from Kamdy District  and 28 from Gampaha District  the unit has stated .

Also another 68 Corona positives were identified amongst foreign arrivals who are under quarantine at quarantine centers  .

All 469 Corona positives reported locally yesterday were contacts of the Paliyagoda ,Minuwangoda and Prisons Corona clusters  according to National Covid -19 Prevention Center .Now the total number of Corona positives reported from these clusters is 26,985 the center has stated .

At the moment 8206 Corona positives are being treated at hospitals and treatment centers .

Colombo National Hospital Kitchen Had Been Closed After 23 Workers Tested Positive For Corona Virus

 The Kitchen attached to Colombo National Hospital had been closed down yesterday (08)after 23 workers in the kitchen testing positive for Corona virus it has been reported .

The Corona positive workers had been identified at the ,"PCR " Tests performed on them yesterday .These infected workers had been admitted to hospital and their close contacts are being quarantined .

Due to the closure of Hospital Kitchen the resident patients of the Hospital are being  received packetted rice from outside according to reports.
