132 Corona Positices Reported Today (14)

 A total of 132 Corona positives had been reported in the countty today (14)increasing the total number of Corona positives reported so far to 5140

according to Epidemeolgy Unit. 

Accordingky All the Corona positives reported today are Employees of Minuwangoda Brandix Apperal factory and their close contacts. 

At the moment 1800 Corona positives  are being treated in Government Hospitals.   

Pokice Curfew To Be Imposed In Katunayakw Police Division From tomorrow (14))

 As the Corona Virus is spreading in Somerset Free Trade Zone factories ,Police have decided to impose Curfew in Katunayake Police Division from 5 a.m tomorrow (15)morning until further notice 

Police have requested   the Katunayake Free Trade Zone employees to use their national Identity Card as curfew pass when reporting to work.

Accordingly with Katunayake Police curfew is being imposed in 19 Police Divisions at Gampaha District upto now .

Eleven Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Aftrer Full Recovery Yesterday (13)

A total of 11 Corona Positives had been recovered and discharged from government  hospitals yesterday (13)  according to the Epidemiology Unit .Accordingly the total number of Corona Positives discharged from hospitals so far after full recovery had been risen to 3328 the Unit has stated .

 

Sri Lanka's First Female DIG Has Been Appointed

 The Senior Superintendent Of Police (SSP)   Bimsani  Jasingharachchi has been appointed as the First female Deputy Inspector General Of Police (DIG) in the country yesterday (13)  according to the Police Headquarters .Accordingly she has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Police Welfare Division .

National Police Commission has approved this appointment of New female DIG recommended to the commission by the Acting Inspector General Of Police (IGP) Chandana Wikramaratne  the Police headquarters has announced ,

The new Female DIG Jasingharachchi is also a member of Children  and Women's Bureau of the Police Department .

194 Corona Positives Reported Yesterday (13)-Number Of Brandix Corona Cluster Has Been Increased To 1591

 A total of 194 Corona positives  related to the Minuwangoda Brandix Corona Cluster had been reported in the Country yesterday (13)according to the Epidemiology Unit .

Out of these Corona positives 114 were identified as contacts of the Brandix Corona Cluster members and 80 were members of the Cluster who are under quarantine at Quarantine Centers .Majority of these positives were identified from Gampaha (36),Minuwangoda (38 ) and Divulapitiya (34 ) areas which are under quarantine lockdown in Gampaha District .07 Corona positives had been reported in Colombo yesterday and at least one  positive had been reported  from areas which are not under quarantine curfew including Kaduwela ,Nugegoda, Rathmalana ,Negambo , Ja -Ela ,Horana ,Anuradhapaura,Kalutara and Ratnapura  it has been reported ,

Forty two (42 ) positives were tested positive whilst at a Boarding house in Seeduwa area which is not under lockdown according to the head of the Covid-19 Prevention National Center, Army Commander General Shavendre De Silva .

Up to yesterday (13) a total of 5038 Corona Positives had been reported in the country with 13 deaths according to the Epidemiology Unit .At the moment 1697 Corona positives are being treated in Government Hospitals .
