Another 58 Corona Positives Had Been Discharged From Hospitals Yesterday (31)

A Total of 58 Corona Positives had been discharged from  hospitals yesterday (31) after full recovery according to the Epidemiology Unit .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives discharged from hospitals so far after full recovery had risen to 2391 .

A Single Corona Positive Had Been Reported Yesterday (31) -However The "PCR " Tests Perform Daily Are Still Less Than 2000

Only a Single Corona positive had been reported in the Country yesterday (31) through   a less then 2000  "PCR " tests conducted to identify Corona positives during Friday according to the Epidemiology Unit, 

The Corona positive Identified yesterday (31) through a "PCR " test is the wife of the Corona positive identified in previous day from Lankapura Divisional Secretariat  at Polonnaruwa the Unit has stated ,She was identified as a Corona positive whilst at a Quarantine Center and now she was hospitalized it has been reported .

Accordingly the total number of Corona positives identified in the country so far has been increased to 2815 and another 413 Corona positives and 48 Suspected vases are being treated at Government  Hospitals at present .

Meanwhile as the Corona positive employee identified from Lankapura Divisional Secretarial  had visited several places before being identified him as a positive  including a police station , A Bank ,and an Aayurvedha hospital as well as a funeral house close contacts of him along with his family members are being quarantined at present it has been reported ,

More than 200 close contacts of the Corona positive identified including police officers and residents around his house had been performed "PCR " Tests and according to the test results of 156 persons received so far they have tested negative for the corona virus .

However more contacts of the Lnkapura Corona positives are being traced at the moment according to health authorities .

335 Sri Lankans In Dubai Had Arrived In Sri Lanka Last Evening (31)- Another 14 Sri Lankna Naval Men Had Also Arrived From Qatar

A  total  of 335 Sri Lankans stranded at Dubai,United Arab Emirates due to the Corona Pandemic had arrived at Katunayake International Airport last evening(31) through a  special flight according to the Airport authorities .


Another group of  14 Sri Lankan naval men working at Merchant sips in Qatar  had also arrived in Sri Lanka from another flight this morning (01) according to the authorities .

Meanwhile  29 Chinese nationals employed at Chinese investments projects had also arrived in Sri Lanka through a special flight last evening ."PCR " Tests to identify Corona infections had been performed to all these passengers and afterwards sent them to the quarantine centers run by Sri Lankan forces for a 14 day quarantine process . 

Sea Hawk Believes To Be Used To Distribute Narcotics By "Underworld Leader "Angoda Lokka Had Been Captured By Police

The white bellied  Sea Hawk Eagle Believes to be  used by the local underworld Criminal Gang leader "Angoda Lokka" to distribute Narcotics had been captured  by the Aturugiriya police and produced before the Homagama Magistrate Court yesterday (31).

The Hawk had been discovered  by the Police accordance to the information provided by the Western province intelligence officers whilst in a cage at Kanatte  road in  Nawalamulle ,Meegoda  .

After producing before the Magistrate  court  ,The cout had ordered the Athuriguruya Police to handover the Hawk to the  Dehiwala Zoo. 

Sea Hawks can carry around 15 Kilo Gramme weight at once by using legs  and eligible to train to do some work under human  orders according to Police. 

Former CID Director Shani Abeysekare Had Been Arrested And Remanded Over An Allegation

Investigations Department  (CID )Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shani Abeysekare nick named as Sherlock holms of Sri Lankan Police  who had been interdicted few months back over some allegations, had been arrested by the CID this morning  (31)over an allegation of hiding an evidence of a fire arms case .

The Former CID Director SSP Abeysekare had been arrested at his home in Elvitigala flats scheme, Narahenpita according to Police. He was later remanded until 07 th of August by the Gampaha Magistrate Court after being produced before the Court this evening.

Earlier SSP Shani Abeysekare  had been questioned for 08 hours by the CID After getting arrested .

SSP Abeysekare was charged over preparing false evidence for a case on  recovering fire arms from Kalagedihena area in 2013 according to Police Media Spokesman Jaliya Senaratne. 

Most sections in the society however rated him as an honest and talented Police officer who had solved many mysterious Crimes  in the country .
