A School Principal And A Teacher In Horowpathana Arrested Over Their Direct Links With Easter Sunday Bombers-Court Allowed Police To Held Them 72 Hours

Horowpathana Police have arrested a

56 year old School principal and a teacher at Horowpathana today (17)over their direct inks to the Easter Sunday bombers and Banned National Thowheeth Jamaath Organization.

The arrests were made accordance to the information provided to Horowpathana Police OIC by the Western Provincial Council intelligence unit.

After being produced before the Kabithigollawa Magistrate Court ,MagIstrate has given permission to Horowpathana POLICE OIC to held them 72 hours for questioning.

The two suspects have direct links to Thowheeth Jammarh Organization  and Suicide bombers it has been revealed during Police Investigations. 

A Cabinet Proposal TO Add Rs.15,000 Allowance To The MP's Pension

A Cabinet proposal to add Rs.15,000

allowance to the pension entitled to retired MP's and widowers of deceased  retired MP's has been submitted to the Cabinet for approval by Minister of Lands and parliamentary reforms Gayantha Karunathilake according to sources .

If this proposal receives approval retired MP's and widowers of retired MP''s will be received an increased pension of little more than Rs.50,000 for doing nothing .

Whilst government employees receives the pension after commitTed half of their lives for the work Government MP's automatically entitled to the pension after completing five years in service for doing nothing for the country and people (except few MP's)it has been revealed .

17 Safe Houses And 07 Training Centers Used By Easter Sunday Bombers Had Been Recovered

Criminal Investigations Department (CID)had so far recovered 17 safe houses and 07 Training Centers used by Easter Sunday bombers for the attacks.

Accordingly 07 Training Centers used by Easter Sunday bombers and the Terrorists Organization they belongs to for the training of Terrorists and conducted workshops had been recovered from Hambanthota, Nuwara Eliya, Wanathawilluwa, Kaththankudy ,Kandy ,Aruppola and ,Valachchena areas .

Safe houses used by the   Terrorists to planned the Easter Sunday bombings had been recovered from 17 places including Katuwapitiya, Negambo,Kochchikade -Saint Anthony's road and Colpetty .

762 Prisoners Are Scheduled To Be Released On Presidential Pardon Tomorrow (18)

762 Prisoners including 736 male prisoners and 26 female Prisoners who are serving prison sentences   over petty ofences are due to release on  Presidential pardon tomorrow  (18) to mark vesak full moon poHoya day according to the government sources.

This is the largest number of prisoners who are to be released under  presidential pardon at once .

A function is scheduled to be held in this regard at Welikada Prison grounds tomorrow  (18)morning under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena .

Presidential pardon is being  offered for the prisoners under the article 34 in the Constitution.

Majoroty of the prisoners who are due to be received Presidential pardon tomorrow are from Welikada Prison  (117).other prisoners are from Pallekale, Anuradhapura and palleSena prisons.
