Around 25 Persons Had Been Injured And Hospitalized Due To A Brawl Incident In Dambulla

Around 25 persons had been injured and hospitalized due to a brawl incident occurred during

a Musical Show held to mark the 20th anniversary of the Dambulla Economic Center last night (02) at Dambulla Town .

The injured had been admitted to the Dambulla Hospital for treatment .

A 21 year old youth was killed after the Motorcycle he was riding in colliding with a Lorry at Dambulla Town last night it has been revealed .The youth who was a resident of Samanthalayaya in lenadora ,Dambulla was riding the Motorcycle under the influence of liquor according to reports .

Mannar ASP Was Arrested Over Abduction And Disappearence Of A Person In Police Custody

Investigations Department (CID) have yesterday (01)arrested the Assistant Superintendent Of Police (ASP) in Mannar Upul Alawatta over abducting and disappearance of a person whilst in custody of Piliyandala police on 31 st of December 2008 .

The suspected ASP Alawatta who was the acting OIC Of the Piliyandala Police at the time of the incident had been areested after questioning him over the imcident at CID Headquarters in Colombo.The suspect had appeared before CID to give the statement .

ASP Alawatta was charged over abduction and disappearance of Ajith Sunanda Kandamby a Cwremic corporation employee who was arrested by Piliyandala Police over a complaint made by Ceremic Corporation chairman .

Another Two Persons Arrested With Makandure Madush In Dubai Had Been Expelled To Sri Lanka

(CID)officials have this morning (02)arrested two persons expelled by the Dubai Authorities who had been in jail with Sri Lankan Drug Kingpin Makandure Madush ,upon their arrival at the Katunayake International Airport .
The two suspects Mohommad Siddique Mohommad Siam (48)and Lanka Sajin Perera(40) had been expelled from Dubai today after being in Prison in Dubai over a month following their arrest at a party hosted by Madush in Dubai..They have arrived in through a Sri Lankan Airlines flight.

CID is due to question them to find out whether they are having connections with Sri Lankan underworld it has been revealed .

Dubai authorities have earlier expelled 07 out of the 31 Suspects arrested with Makandure Madush and CID had arrested all of them and handed over the Drug smuggler Kanjipani Imran who was among them to Colombo Crimes Division for further action .Three of those expelled from Dubai including a prison guard had been remanded .

Colombo Crimes Division had obtained three month detention order from Colombo Magistrate Court to question Kanjipani Imran.

Two Persons Had Been Killed And Two Others Injured Due To Lorry-Tipper Collision

Two persons had been killed on the

spot and two others had been critically injured and hospitalized after the Lorry they were travelling in crashed in to a parked Tipper Truck at palaviyaya in Dimbulagala (Polonnaruwa District)last night(01).

The injured had been admitted to Polonnaruwa Base Hospital for treatment .

The incident Occured when the Lorry had collided with the rear part of the Tipper Truck it has been revealed .

The bodies of the deceased had been sent to Polonnaruwa Hospital.
